Your Car's Mad Button

I get mad while I'm driving on occasion, I'm guessing so do most people, but what do you do about it? I have given my share of middle fingers and I have received some as well. I have to be extremely upset to do that though. I do try to courteous on the road, I let people in when they signal, I wave if someone does the same for me and I'd like to think that my small actions has made someone else's day a little brighter.

Then there is the people that have to use their horn for every occasion. It's like having a mad button in your vehicle. Hey that guy is walking too slow, Hit the Mad Button, That biker is over too far, hit the Mad Button, this guy in front of me isn't going when the light is green, hit the Mad Button.  I can tell you when somebody Mad Buttons me I call tell you right now I am severely pissed off and I continue to drive angry for at least a half an hour afterwards.  I Hate the Mad Button with a passion.

I hate it so much I refuse to use it. I will not honk my horn for any reason. If I am angry at someone else I keep it contained to my vehicle because it's kind of like the opposite of pay it forward. If it makes me so angry for such a long time afterwards I imagine other people could be the same or worse if I Mad button them. I do not want to spread that kind of negative energy to other drivers or people for that matter. When you drive angry you tend to speed more, weave in and out of traffic and generally drive a lot more dangerously. Our streets are dangerous enough,  we don't need more of it out there. So the next time you think you might like to use your Mad Button,  Don't,  and maybe someones life would be a wee bit better or it might actually save a life too.
