I have always wondered about the world of Star Trek. How does the money system work there? Do people get paid? I did some looking into into it but before I go into it, I'm going to talk a bit more about money.
Money is the root of all evil, we kill for it, we steal it, we all want more of it, we do unfathomable acts for it and right now, we need it to survive. I would love to see it disappear forever.
The world would be a better place if we didn't have money, the greed would be gone and I think we would be a lot more helpful to each other. I respect a hard work ethic from anybody that has one. I can respect that you have earned everything you have in life, but I cannot respect spoiled little brats that live off their parents hard earned money and do nothing for themselves. Most of the people on this planet barely scrape by, barely making their monthly bills and dreaming of winning the lottery.
The way Star Trek works in their fictional world is basically by replicators. The people on the planet that don't want to do anything, don't. They replicate what they need and they can replicate anything. They can teleport anywhere on the planet and get a ride to another star system if they want.
Some people actually want to do something with their life, so they join Starfleet and train to be whatever they want to be. There is no need for money.
I know this all sounds too good to be true and the likelihood of it ever happening scarce. But we actually have a type of replicator right now that works and that you can buy. It's called a 3D printer and it can make just about anything we want it to.
It's nowhere near Star Trek but it is a start in the right direction. They have 3D printers that can build an entire house in a day complete with all the plumbing and electrical and furnace built right in, move in ready as soon as it's done.
There is a 3D printer that uses your own blood to make stem cells that are compatible with your body and they are very close to making custom body parts for people, a new heart, liver, kidney, ect...
It won't be long before we can make literally anything we want and be able to have it in a few hours or in a day or two.
When we destroy matter, such as burning a piece of wood, it turns into energy, such as fire. If we can reverse that process, turn energy into matter, we will have fully functioning replicators.
And then we will have:
A Money Free Life.
