We have all seen bad parents when we have gone out or you see them on a reality show on TV.
I often wonder if those kids were accidental babies. It's my opinion that if you really wanted kids then you probably wouldn't let them run around in the street unsupervised or at all. You hear about parents chaining kids up in basements, not getting them proper medical help because they don't believe in science and a host of other atrocities.
I'm sure many of you know, and for those that don't, My wife and I cannot have children, I have an abnormal X Y chromosome, and my wife has endometriosis. Which is why we have decided to adopt. We have been waiting 3 and a half years so far and it has been long, mentally taxing and an expensive process, and we have a few more to go.
The adoption company has dug deep into our lives, to make sure we would be good parents and that we are responsible adults, they make us do criminal record checks every year, and we have to go in for interviews annually to update them on where we are in our lives and how we have changed in the last year. This is good I think, they are making sure a child has the best home possible to live in and that we are still serious about adopting.
Why don't parents in general have to go through this process before they have babies?
Everyone should be given some sort of genome lock that stops you from having children as soon as you are born, that way everybody would have it. Then as you get older you can go out and have as much sex as you want, enjoy your young selves.
However, when you have settled down, and you are ready to start a life with someone you love, and you decide to have children, you should have to go through a certain test to determine if you would be good parents. There would be be people that come to your house and make sure that you have ideal living condition to raise children. After you have passed the test they inject you with a genome key and you are free to have babies. If you don't pass, then you would fix the problem and take the test again.
I think this would eliminate a lot of tragedy in this world, the need for abortion clinics would be gone eventually. You would see a rise of better people in the world, due to being raised by two loving parents. There would be a lot less abandonment and child deaths in the world. There would be no accidental babies, or ones with fetal alcohol syndrome, or ones that are addicted to drugs as soon as they are born. The people who have children would have really been serious about having them.
I get very upset when I hear about a baby being locked in a car when it plus 30 degrees celsius outside and they die. Or the kids are severely neglected and left to suffer when their parents decide to leave them to fend for themselves. My wife and I both really want a child and it is very painful to know we could have taken a few of those neglected babies out there and given them a much better life. That's why I think everyone who wants to have children should take...
The baby test
