Over Indulge For The Good Of Mankind

We sit and try to curb everything that is easy to do, we try to moderate our addictions,  we don't over indulge in simple pleasures, and it seems to me  that we are always holding back and controlling our actions, but what if we could utilize this inherent ability to benefit ourselves?

Imagine if we could harness the power of our laziness somehow, if there was a way to make money while binge watching our favorite tv shows or by simply sleeping.  I'm pretty sure a good portion of the population does this after a hard days work already, if we could use this to our advantage to benefit ourselves and humankind.

As soon as you learn that school sucks and you don't want to go when you are a child that feeling stays with you until adulthood and then until the day you die. Why is that part of our nature? Why is that ingrained in our personalities? If it's part of who we are and part of our primal instinct then why don't we figure out some way to use it instead of suppress it?

This basic instinct we all have that is on the selfish side, the "me first" way of thinking, is ingrained in all of us, if we could utilize that to make the world a better place for everyone, wouldn't that be ideal? Think of how easy it would be as well.  It would take almost no effort and comes as naturally to us as going to the bathroom.

While this sounds like a great idea, keep in mind that if this actually happened we would still all be living in the stone age, because this is exactly what neanderthals did to survive, they ate when they wanted to, they took care of themselves, had sex whenever they wanted, and cared only for themselves, it was only until they started working as a group, helping each other, saving food for the winter, teaching each other new skills and tactics, that humankind started to move forward and advance technologically.

While it would be nice to make money and be productive while doing nothing, you would be a fat blob that hated yourself in the end.  The only way that it would be possible is if we lived in the matrix while our real bodies were used as batteries to power it.
