I saw a really cool dress shirt online that I thought would look great, it was white with an embroidered dragon on the back with its tail coming over the shoulder. I ordered a large, and waited so long that I forgot I had even ordered it in the first place. When it came in, I felt as though it was an early birthday present to myself had come in.
Eagerly, I opened the package, I remembered ordering something and when I saw it, the complete memory formed and I couldn't wait to try it on and that was when the fun ended. The shirt was way too small, like it was made for a midget Ethiopian 12 year old girl, I peeled off the part of the shirt that I managed to stick my arm into, feeling very confused and thinking they must have sent me the wrong size.
I went over the shirt looking for the size tag, (Its not on the collar like Canadian shirts) It was in the middle of the back of the shirt, to my surprise it was a large. Now I was even more confused and starting to get perturbed. I went to the website I bought it on and found the order, reading very carefully about the sizes.
It read: All sizes are in Asian size, please make sure your size before ordering. Up until this point I had no idea, that there was a different size of man species out there, and even if there were you would think that the extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, xxl and xxxl should cover all the bases no matter how big or small you are, not to mention there are boys and mens in those sizes. If I am a large here how the hell would I know what an Asian large is without any measurement scale to compare it to?
So I decided I was going to get a refund. I packaged it all up and took it to the post office, I had to pay the shipping fee which was about twelve dollars, and off it went. When I got home I emailed the retailer explaining that I sent my shirt back, and after scanning my bill from the post office I sent a picture of that as well. I wrote a not so friendly review, and waited.
I am never going to be refunded, and there is not a soul alive that cares about my 30 dollar shirt and twelve dollar shipping cost that I will never see again. But I did learn something very valuable, and is to make sure you read everything before you buy anything, go through it with a fine tooth comb and make sure you have read through every single strand of information. That dill hole I bought the shirt from was not a reputable seller, and had bad reviews from everyone who commented. That information was there, I was too lazy to read it.
I still order stuff online and it's not much of a hassle anymore because I have sites that I trust and use regularly now. I also bought a fabric tape measure and and measured myself in cm and inches, so that if I ever want to buy clothing from overseas, or anywhere, I will not be disappointed again.
