Medical Speed

My blog yesterday was about having a chip that would locate you if were a criminal or a lost person. While I try to keep my blogs short I did mean to expand on the idea. Thanks to my bud Ben for giving me this example.

RF-ID chips are the ones that hold not just a GPS tracker but personal information as well. They could hold all sorts of medical data.

Whenever you enter a walk in clinic you have to stand in line and wait to tell the receptionist who you are and what's wrong, then you wait, sometimes for hours. The same thing happens if you go to the emergency at the hospital.  I have sat and waited for seven hours to get 3 stitches.

Would it not be nice, if you could walk into any medical center in the world and they would already know what's wrong with you before you told anybody?  The worst case scenario would get help first and it would run down the line, prescriptions would automatically be handed out via computer for infections and viral outbreaks.

This technology exists already by using cellular technology but I can see it evolving much further.

It could be used for anybody anywhere, at home, work, vacation, etc. The device would know when your body is in trouble, if you about to have a heart attack, stroke, seizure, faint, drown, or any life threatening occurrence.  Including getting shot, stabbed or beaten.

The system would send a signal to the closest health authority in the area and they would respond accordingly.
