Fae 012

She nimbly leapt on a fallen tree holding her rock shard in front of her, and again the noise came and with a shock she realized it was from her belly. Then what was the thing in the ground that had touched her? She sat very still and watched for any sort of movement. Her belly rumbled again with some pain and she told herself "Stop that! I'm going to give away my position and get myself killed". Her stomach just replied with another spasm followed by the noise again. Then silently behind her, a huge serpent rose out of the ground like an enormous shadow, its beady eyes focused on her as it rose, It's enormous flattened head touching the tree tops. Fae didn't see the creature or hear it and she felt like she was going to pass out from the pain in her gut. She clenched the muscles in her stomach against the pain and suddenly heard a loud BLLAAPPT sound from behind her! Incredibly the pain was gone!

The serpents beady eyes opened wide as the gas cloud from Fae's stomach enveloped it's head passing up past the leaves, turning them brown as it passed by. The serpents eyes rolled back in its head and it groaned in agony as it fell backwards toward the ground. Fae spun on her heels from the groan of the serpent and saw the mammoth beast slump to the ground in a heap. The fragrant aroma hit her at that moment and Fae fell from her tree and landed upon the ground gagging. "The stench was unbearable!" she thought... and it had come from her! She grabbed wads of dirt and grass and stuffed them up her nose but there was nothing she could do for her stinging eyes. She crawled along the ground away from where she had been then turned around and waited. Branches fell from the trees from where the gas cloud had passed by along with leaves and a few suddenly dead birds and squirrels, the serpent lay immobile having taking the full brunt of the blast."

Serves you right you nasty monster, that will teach you not to sneak up on me." Her thoughts changed as she giggled to herself and she even felt a little sorry for the poor serpent. "Nothing should have to die in such a humiliating way." She mused. Another thought came to her then, "There is no possible way of controlling that, especially with the pain that came before it. What would happen if she did that around the humans? Would they all die? What if they did it around her? Would she die?" She picked herself up off the ground and headed over to the serpent, it's immobile body let her know that it was safe for approach.
