Manliness, One Liners

You're a single guy, you are out in a public space that has a large crowd, like a concert or a bar, and you are not a bad looking man, maybe a little rough around the edges, but decent looking nonetheless. You notice an attractive woman that also appears to be by herself and are contemplating what you could possibly say to get her attention and keep it.

You decide that "Google" will help you in this situation, and type in "one liners to pick up chicks", and find one that you think is clever.  It doesn't matter which one you pick because they are all cheesy, some are pretty funny but in the end they all have fatal flaws that you don't know about and nobody has mentioned before.

A: First of all, a very attractive girl is used to being hit on all the time, and has got a good rebuttal for almost any one liner and is sick and tired of hearing them.

B: After you have let loose your very impressive one liner that you didn't think up yourself, you leave yourself wide open if by chance it works on her. Now you have her attention but have no follow up or any idea what to talk about.

If you really want to strike up a conversation with a pretty lady, or anyone for that matter what really helps is to find some common ground, and this works for guys and gals.  Common ground means something you both have in common.

How do you know if a stranger has something in common with you?  First of all, look around, where are you? A concert? A bar? A shopping mall? Facebook? Online, what site?  If you are at a location then you are there for a reason, and so is the person you are attracted to.  A mall means shopping, hanging with friends, a bar or concert means music, dancing, drinking, Online means anonymity. You instantly have these things in common with a total stranger and therefore can use it to strike up a conversation that you both can relate to.

Leave the one liners for the second conversation you have, and then they will probably work every time.
